If you are outside of the UK, please call us on +44 (0)1484 854 025 (Monday to Friday, 9am 'til 5pm GMT/BST) and we will be able to provide a quote along with delivery costs.

For orders delivered to the UK

For orders delivered to the EU

As the UK is no longer a member of the EU, you will not pay VAT on your order. Instead, you will pay your local VAT at the point of delivery.

Please note, if you refuse or do not pay these charges, what happens next is out of our control.

If the parcel is returned to us without any additional charges, we will refund you the original cost of goods, excluding the delivery charge.

If we incur additional costs to recover the goods, this cost will be deducted from the refund value.

If we are unable to recover the goods, no refund will be given.

For orders delivered outside the UK and EU

No tax will be charged on your order.

For orders outside of the UK you will be responsible for the payment of all import duties and local taxes, as well as any additional customs clearance charges.

If you refuse or do not pay these charges, what happens next is out of our control.

If the parcel is returned to us without any additional charges, we will refund you the original cost of goods, excluding the delivery charge.

If we incur additional costs to recover the goods, this cost will be deducted from the refund value.

If we are unable to recover the goods, no refund will be given.

Brexit

As the UK is no longer part of the EU, there are some changes in how we are shipping goods to the European Union.

For all orders delivered to the EU, you will no longer pay VAT on your order. Instead, you will pay your local VAT rate at the point of delivery.

You may also be charged duty, customs fees and local taxes (if applicable) at the point of delivery.  These will vary depending on products ordered, order value and local rules.  However, we are trying to offset these costs by providing low-cost delivery rates.

VAT is included in the advertised price by default for UK customers or guest visitors. If you are outside of the UK, please call us on +44 (0)1484 854 025 (Monday to Friday, 9am 'til 5pm GMT/BST) and we will be able to provide a quote along with delivery costs.

Ceramic Safety

Safety Categories

All of our ceramic tableware products come with product safety information to help ensure you make the best choice for your particular situation. There are three categories of product safety that we use, namely Dishwasher Safe, Microwave Safe, and Oven-to-Table. These categories are explored in more depth below.

Dishwasher Safe

This safety message indicates that the product is safe for use in a dishwasher, meaning that the product will not break or shatter.

Designs featuring a soft metal on-glaze decoration are safe for occasional use in a dishwasher, provided you use a low heat setting and a cleaning product designed for a softer wash, however the metal decoration is likely to fade over an extended period of time. Our on-glaze tableware collections are therefore not marked as dishwasher safe for this reason.

Microwave Safe

This safety message indicates that the product is safe for use in a microwave, meaning that the product will not shatter or break. Again, certain designs with soft metal on-glaze decoration are never safe for use in a microwave because of sparks caused by the microwaves reacting with the metal.

Note that any ceramic tableware placed into a microwave will heat the product, please allow the product to cool for a minute before serving and use caution when handling.

Oven-to-Table

This safety message is similar to the microwave safety message in that the product will not shatter or break when used in the oven. Once again, in regards to soft metal on-glaze decorated items, they should never be used in an oven otherwise the metal decoration will melt and smudge.

Note that any ceramic tableware placed into an oven will heat the product, please allow the product to cool for a minute before serving and use caution when handling.

Ceramic Materials

For a more indepth look at the ceramic materials we use, please see our Ceramic Materials page.

Images & Descriptions

Images

Product images are given as a guide only and differences may be discovered upon receipt of goods. This can be due to many factors such as lighting-levels when photography takes place, adjustments made to images post-processing, as well as end-user device display levels (brightness, contrast, gamma, etc).

Products that are specifically listed as reactive-glaze display images that are the best approximation of the range at the time of photography as the nature of the product is that it features variations from piece to piece.

Descriptions

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all product description information on this website are accurate and up-to-date, we cannot guarantee this to always be the case.

For example, the majority of product measurements (such as widths, lengths, heights, capacities and weights) are supplied by the manufacturer. If we find that any measurement is incorrect we endeavour to make the necessary changes at that time.

General Advice

If you have any questions at all regarding the item(s) you are seeking to purchase then please do not hesitate to contact our sales team on +44 (0)1484 854 025, and we will do our best to ensure you have the most accurate information for your requirements.

Please note that none of the above affects your statutory rights in any way.

Dimensions & Measurements

General

As tableware is a natural product, all measurements are provided as a guide only, and can differ slightly from one piece to the next. This is because any variation in temperature, firing-times on individual production runs as well as across different batches can effect measurements. For example, weights can be affected by slightly more clay, increased water evaporation during firing, thickness of glaze used, etcetera. The same can be noted for any other dimension including sizes and capacities.

If you are at all unsure about the items you are selecting, please do not hesitate to contact us before placing your order.

Single Items

All our single-item products are measured in a specific way, which is detailed below. Should you require further in-depth measurements, please feel free to contact us.

Height: This measurement provides the entire height of the product, measured from the base to the top.

Width: This measurement provides the full width of the product and would include features such as spouts and handles. We commonly refer to this as the side-to-side measurement.

Depth: This measurement provides the often-called short measure, such as the diameter of the widest part of a mug, jug, teapot, etc. We commonly refer to this as the front-to-back measurement.

In respect of diameters, such as those for circular plates, the width and depth measures will be listed as the same value for each.

Product Sets

For our multiple-item products, we provide the packing dimensions where possible, but sometimes there will be none as these can change dependent upon the box sizes provided by our suppliers. In the case of measurements being supplied, these are described below, but as noted earlier, these can be subject to change per delivery.

Height: This measurement provides the full height of the delivery carton.

Width: This measurement provides the widest side of the delivery carton.

Depth: This measurement provides the shortest side of the delivery carton.

In some cases, no direct delivery dimensions can be provided, so instead individual item dimensions will be listed under Item Dimensions on the More Information tab of each product page. This is an ongoing work in progress, so if you find something that does not provide the measurements you are looking for, please let us know and we will ensure they are provided to yourself and added to the website for future reference.

We will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending you an e-mail. It is this e-mail and our acceptance of your order which brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.

If you notify us of a problem under this condition, we shall, at your option:

7.2.1     deliver the correct quantity of goods to you;

7.2.2     deliver replacement goods (where the goods are damaged or defective); or

7.2.3     refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.

7.3   Subject always to clause 7.5 and unless the law provides otherwise, we will not be responsible for any loss of profits, business or goodwill (or similar loss) which you may suffer because of any problem about which you notify us under this condition and we shall have no responsibility to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under clause 7.2.3.
